Pamela McCarthy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20 years of diverse work experiences in a variety of settings. She has helped children who have experienced or witnessed traumatic events, adults from young to old who are undergoing life transitions and are looking for help to navigate through their experiences . She has worked in a variety of environments, including crisis intervention as a psychiatric social worker in a hospital setting, as a therapist in a private psychiatrist’s office and in community mental health.  She is currently working in her own private practice in the Wilder area.

Pam received her undergraduate degree from Northern Kentucky University. She graduated with honors and received the Excelsior Award. This award is granted to one graduate for each graduating year who has overcome great obstacles to achieve their academic pursuits. Pam is also a graduate of the University of Louisville where she received her MSSW.

Along the way, Pam has presented at the state Domestic Violence Association Conference, trained volunteers in the topic of domestic violence and persons with disabilities, and supervised Master’s level social workers who are training for their clinical licenses.
